Reader Reviews

  • โ€œRarely have I found a book that is equally magical and practical. April's beautiful book is soothing and inspiring with its color scheme. It's like a soft hug in a book, which is perfect for folks who will be reading it for support with sensory overstimulation. I felt so seen and comforted by April's descriptions of HSP qualities, and was able to gain insight into nuances of my HSP experience that I haven't seen addressed in other books on the topic. Her guide helps you to be strategic and prepared to set boundaries in a variety of potential scenarios, and to adjust your lifestyle as necessary, so you can meet life head on with your sensitive superpowers.โ€

  • โ€œFind Your Strength is a beautiful self-help workbook for people who are highly empathic and highly sensitive. This book has some great exercises to try, information on HSP and ways to cope and deal with and recognize the emotions that come with it. Each section is short and easy to follow and understand and I've learned so much about my emotions as a HSP from this book. It has helped me to categorize these emotions and recognize them and what causes them. I enjoyed that the book had short chapter summaries to recap on what you've just learned about too. This is a great book for highlighting the positives of being a HSP and definitely one I recommend to anyone who's HSP or wanting to learn more about it.โ€

  • โ€œIf you are a highly sensitive person or know someone who is, I can assure you this new workbook "Finding Your Strength" by April Snow, LMFT is brilliant. You will feel relaxed as you dive into the lessons. You will be encouraged to explore your needs with chapters such as "Savor a Positive Moment." "Take Time Off." I'm excited and inspired to find new ways to "Reduce Overstimulation". Or how to stop overthinking, just enough to recalibrate and get a good night's sleep. There's a section on "Building Boundaries," too! Overall, there is plenty of space to write your thoughts in each lesson. I'm delighted to have a copy of this well-designed workbook. As a licensed therapist, I know I'll be recommending it to other HSPs.โ€

  • โ€œI loved this book!!! As a HSP myself, I loved how relatable it felt. It made me feel less alone! I also loved how it was super informative like a work of non-fiction, but then it also had all of the journal prompts too - was completely the best of both worlds!โ€

  • โ€œAs a highly sensitive and autistic therapist, I adore this gorgeous workbook. The colors and layout are soothing, the pages sturdy, and the content affirming and thoughtful. There is space for reflection, as well as ample text (laid out with intention so as not to overwhelm) to educate and expand oneโ€™s awareness. Topics include building boundaries, learning coping tools, navigating relationships and work, and understanding/accepting the highly sensitive experience. I am so excited to use this workbook with my clients, as well as to deepen my own self-care practice.โ€

  • โ€œI felt seen with this workbook and I adored that. As Iโ€™ve gotten older, Iโ€™ve discovered my own tools, but I will definitely try some of the many fantastic suggestions here. I also believe that this workbook is a fantastic option for middle-grade and older and definitely recommend it to parents and educators with highly sensitive children in their care.โ€
